The man, in his late 30s and from the Bristol area, had been descending from the summit of Mynydd Moel, part of the Cader range, but had lost the path and found himself on steep scree slopes.
Given the information the man provided, call handlers were able to give him verbal instructions on how to regain the path by phone. Meanwhile a party of Team volunteers started up the path from Minffordd to meet up with the man and ensure he made his way safely off the mountain.
Everyone was safely off the mountain by 8:15 p.m.
