The pair, a man and woman from Warwickshire, had started their ascent earlier in the day but shortly after summiting the lady had twisted her knee. They had carried on as best they could, but the injury resulted in significantly slower progress, and eventually they found themselves benighted and unable to proceed.
Unsure of their exact location, search-parties of volunteers from the Team were dispatched up two likely routes. The walkers were quickly located and assisted down the remaining section.
Everyone was down off the mountain by 11:30 p.m.
