Shortly before 6:00 p.m., the Team was requested to assist our neighbours at South Snowdonia Search & Rescue Team with a seriously injured walker at Coed y Brenin forest park.
The walker had slipped and fallen a significant distance onto rocks. Coastguard helicopter Rescue187 attended the scene but prevailing conditions meant that the casualty could not be winched from the difficult location. A rope-hauling system was set up to extract the casualty, who was then transported by Team vehicle to a nearby landing site for evacuation.
The incident was completed shortly before midnight.
