The local woman, aged 29, had slipped on rocks during a family walk near the waterfall at Pantperthog, injuring her lower leg. WAS attended the scene, but were unable to get the ambulance close to the site of the incident and so requested mountain rescue assistance to carry the woman out from the riverside. By chance, an ASART Team member was working less than five minutes away and was quickly on scene to coordinate the Team's response as members arrived. With a stretcher party gathered, the woman was transported to the awaiting ambulance for transfer to Bonglais Hospital to receive further assessment and treatment for a suspected fracture.
