At 4:30 p.m. Team Call-handlers were made aware of two lost walkers on Cader Idris. The couple had started their day from Minffordd. On their descent from the summit, the pair sought advice and directions on the best way back down to the carpark from passing walkers. The route advice given was either incorrect or misinterpreted, but this led to the pair losing the path and ending up on the crags of Gau Graig. Poorly equipped and unable to continue due to failing light the couple called for help.
Using phone-find technology the Team was able to pinpoint the couple's position and deployed a hill party to their location. Team volunteers assisted the pair down the steep ground / crags before descending back to the road and a waiting team vehicle. The couple were then transported back to their car at Minfordd.
All team members were safely off the hill at 8:00 p.m.
