The 22 year old from Chester had been exploring the hillside above the Tal y Llyn pass, and had started to climb the crag. Scrambling higher, he found he was not confident to make the descent and so felt his only option was to keep climbing. He fortunately made it safely to the plateau above the crags, but with neither map, guidebook or compass, and no knowledge of the area, he had no idea of how to get back down to his car.
Volunteers from the Team made their way to the casualty and were able to walk him safely down to the Team vehicle, and the man was back at his car by around 8:30 p.m..
A special note of thanks to the folk of Maes Côch Farm who gave up what was looking like a very pleasant evening BBQ to help rescuers get swiftly up the hill.
