The pair, a father and his thirteen year old son, had set of up the Minffordd Path at 2:30 p.m. and made the summit by 5:30 p.m. As the evening wore on and darkness fell with no sign of the returning walkers, the wife of the man had become increasingly concerned and contacted the police.
The Team started the process of sweeping the roads near likely exit points from the mountain, but almost as soon as the job was underway, news came through that the pair had turned up, safe and well, at their starting point and the team were stood down.
