Shortly before 10:30 p.m. the Team received a request from Brecon Mountain rescue to assist in the search for a vulnerable person near Dylife, south east of Machynlleth.
Two Team volunteers arrived on scene almost immediately, having happened across the incident on their way home from training, with a further 11 following on behind.
A protracted operation went on throughout the night and finally was stood down after 1:00 p.m. the following afternoon.
