With low cloud and mist hanging low over the mountain, the partially-clad man was observed by many of the mountain's visitors, and the Team was able to gather much information about the his location from reports of those returning to the car-park. On the basis of this information, a hill-party was dispatched to find the man, and to encourage him back to safety. He was encountered just below Llyn Cau, and, accompanied by Team volunteers, made his way off the mountain under his own steam. He was delivered into the care of North Wales Police and Ambulance service for further assessment and care.
Everyone was safely off the mountain by 4:00 p.m.
