With the casualty experiencing considerable pain and unable to weight-bear, the group called for mountain rescue assistance.
The Team deployed up the hill, finding the party only a few hundred meters away. The Team's First-Aiders undertook an assessment of the injured woman and provided treatment for the affected limb. The casualty was then loaded onto stretcher for transportation down off the hill.
Due to higher priorities, and peak demand, the Welsh Ambulance Service was unable to dispatch an crew to the incident, and so the decision made that the centre staff would transfer the woman to A&E instead.
Everyone was safely off the hill by 6:45 p.m.
