At around 10:30 p.m. Team call-handlers were alerted to 3 walkers lost and benighted on Cader Idris.
The men, in their 20's and from the Aberystwyth area, had set off from Dolgellau earlier in the day to walk to their campsite at Minffordd. The route was more complex than anticipated and they found themselves disorientated and lost on steep ground as darkness fell.
The position of the men was identified using PhoneFind protocols to quiz their mobile phones for location information. A party of Team volunteers was then dispatched to locate and escort the men from their position.
Tired but otherwise unharmed, the men were brought down off the mountain and delivered to their nearby campsite by 1:30 a.m.
